GENERAL: NOTE: All items are surplus hardware sold for legal utility, educational and entertainment purposes only based on our policies. All items are sold as described and as is.
ORDERING & SHIPPING:
Order Form hotlinks are top of page. Please pay in full prior to shipment with
check, money order (MO), BidPay or Western Union (WU) (no credit
card or COD), made out to "Consumertronics". For fastest shipping,
please pay with Postal MO (if Canada, in $US), BidPay
or WU (allow 2+ weeks for checks and non-Postal MOs to clear
before shipping). Sales are based on a first come, first serve basis.
Some items are singular or limited quantity - once gone, there will be no more
at any price. We refund for any item we cannot supply. Prices and availabilities
may change without further notice, and as supplies dwindle, we will likely raise
prices. No onsite visits for any reason or type
are ever permitted. We ship all items, F.O.B. Albuquerque, NM. Unless
otherwise noted, S/H is INCLUDED with the price
(otherwise, S/H depends on weight, size, shipping address, and
mode of shipping). Please allow 10 work days to ship for Ground and 3
work days to ship for 2nd. Day Air and Overnight for us to retrieve hardware
from storage, and to prepare it for shipping.
COMBINED ORDERS S/H: A combined order
is one in which more than one item - hardware and-or publications - are bought
and paid for at the same time by the same customer and shipped to the same address.
Combined orders provide considerable savings in S/H. Shipping costs usually
depend mostly on item weight. Mostly because of the way we get charged for shipping
based on how we usually ship, the minimum shipping cost for any single item
is based on a weight of 1 lb, and any weight above an integral pound is usually
charged at the next highest integer pound rate (e.g. 2.7 lb is
charged at 3 lb rate). However, when items are combined, the combined
shipping weight of all of the items is usually substantially less than if the
items were shipped separately, resulting in substantial customer savings. This
is especially true if some of your ordered items are relatively light weight
(e.g. publications). In addition, you save substantial handling costs
by combining orders. And you take less of a chance that any item you may postpone
may later be no longer available. For combined orders, where the S/H is included
as part of the price of some or all of the items, we reduce prices accordingly
so you don't overpay for your overall S/H. Therefore, you should order ALL of
the items you are interested in at the same time as a combined order. For all
questions about S/H charges, please email us at: wizguru@consumertronics.net
(put "Surplus Item S/H Inquiry" in email Subject Line).

DUAL OP AMP DIPs ==> LM358 Next to the LM555, I use this very versatile IC the most. Why? While most op amps get a little crazy below about 6 VDC PS - forcing you to use either a bulky 4 cells or a 9-volt battery - the nifty NE532 easily operates down to 3 VDC PS (I've used them below 2.5 VDC). The NE532 does great with only two AAA batteries, or a watch battery! Not only that, but the NE532 will operate from single and dual power supplies. Gain and bandwidth are very good: Gain upto 100 db, and unity BW at 1 MHz! And low offset and low bias! You can hardly ask for better! I've used them from about 0.1 Hz, through the entire audio band, and deep into the ultrasonic band. And I find them especially useful if you must combine an op amp section with TTL, memory or data conversion logic (e.g. A/D, D/A) - requiring only one 5 VDC PS for all circuit functions. One NE532 amp section can be used for input amplification/gain control, and the other section for output amp/gain (particularly useful in digitizing audio and transducer signals applications), or cascaded with each other. If you need more power, you easily add on a transistor to the output. You can build a practical NE532 circuit about the size of a stack of 4 quarters! Versatile and easy-to-use - great for all kinds of circuit jobs you have, including class and science fair projects, and learning tool for electronics. |

w/ SINE / PULSE / + RAMP / - RAMP GENERATION CIRCUIT DIAGRAM With your win, I will also include a copy of a copyrighted and proprietary circuit diagram of mine of a single-supply circuit that will take the square and triangular wave outputs of the 566 and additionally convert them into sinewave (very low distortion), pulse (programmable duty cycle 2% - 98%), + ramp, and - ramp outputs with additional low-cost commonly available circuit parts and required board space not much greater than the legendary 8038 (while the 8038 does directly produce sine waves, it does not directly produce some of these outputs). WHEN you can find the increasingly rare and costly Exar 8038 ( XR8038 ) or Intersil 8038 ( ICL8038 ), you'll be lucky if you pay less than $5 each for them. Note: I only have a limited supply of 566s (unless I can find more) to sell on eBay - once they are gone, so will my circuit diagram be gone. |

QUAD BILATERAL SWITCHES DIPs The very popular, useful and versatile 4016 is a low dissipation CMOS IC that acts as four excellent logically-controlled electronic switches, bi-directional (bilateral), for both analog and digital signals. Practically endless digital and analog applications involving signal and data multiplexing and selection. Again, these are DIPs. Some who won't say whether or not their ICs are DIPs will ship you surface-mount instead! |

LONG TERM TIMER DIPs The 4541's uses as a long duration timer does not nearly get the credit this great IC deserves! Unlike many CMOS ICs, the 4541 is one of those versatile ICs that can be easily used as a circuit's only semiconductor, or integrated into larger circuits. Consider these outstanding features: (1) Time durations in terms of minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and probably even years (I've personally used two cascaded together that timed out every 3 months). Timing is as accurate as its clock input. (2) Triggers even on very low freq clock pulses with very slow rise and fall times. (3) Built-in oscillator can be used as as its own clock input (square wave out on Pin #1), or use external clock, or use the 4541 just for its built-in oscillator. (4) Can be used as a one-shot (i.e. monostable), or for timing through repetitive cycles (i.e. freq. divider or astable). (5) Selectable Q or not-Q output - saves using an inverter. (6) Select reset on power-ON or not, plus it has a master reset. (7) Output can drive a TTL IC, LED, transistor, or small relay or solenoid coil load. (8) Operates down to an amazing 3 VDC power supply. (9) Small internal dissipation - you can operate it from two AAA cells or a pill battery much longer than a LM555. (10) High noise immunity and leakage. USES LIMITED ONLY BY THE IMAGINATION: I use the 4541 to switch lights ON and OFF twice per day when I am out of town to fool potential burglars, as an automatic fish food dispenser controller, to activate water systems, such as lawn sprinklers, as a medication reminder, as a TV or radio program reminder, in the lab for automatic timing, testing, and sampling applications, and to generate ultra-low freq infrasonic signals. Why waste 1-4 more ICs to do the same job at much higher cost, space, wiring and complexity than one simple 4541! Again, these are DIPs. Some who won't say whether or not their ICs are DIPs will ship you surface-mount instead! |

DIVIDE-BY-8 COUNTER/DIVIDER DIPs (8 decoded decimal outputs) Great for binary counting, binary decoding, binary selecting and display, binary frequency division, binary control, binary timing and other binary, bit, octal, byte and word digital applications. The 4022s can be connected together to count, decode, divide, select, control, time, display in terms of bytes and words. CMOS 4022s are Johnson Counters with both Clock Inhibit and Reset controls, and Decoded Outputs. Again, these are DIPs. QUAD CLOCKED "D" LATCH DIPs The 4042 is a very popular, useful and versatile IC commonly used buffer storage, holding registers, and a great variety of general logic uses. Again, these are DIPs. Some who won't say whether or not their ICs are DIPs will ship you surface-mount instead! |

BINARY DUAL UP COUNTER DIPs The 4520 is a very popular, useful and versatile IC commonly used as a general purpose binary up counter. Also used in multistage synchronous counting, multistage ripple counting, and frequency dividing. I've gotten a particularly great use out of these as frequency dividers. |

Just one transient spike can wipe out an expensive piece of computer or electronic equipment! What I do is pop off the back of my 120 VAC power strip (being certain to disconnect it from 120 VAC outlet first), then connect one or two across the power busses inside the strip, then pop the cover back on. I stopped buying those commercial $30+ transient-suppressed power strips years ago; instead, I install these MOVs on standard plain vanilla $5 power strips. And I also use them in my power and phone circuit designs. |

Purported uses also include decorative, craft, art, jewelry (often used with quartz crystals, turquois, coral, gemstones and precious metals), costume, New Age, radionics, naturopathy, magic, body piercing, and other hobbyist uses. Very smooth, clear, transparent (when viewed straight on) and reflective (when viewed at an oblique angle) mica - not that rough, yellowish, translucent, furry stuff you might get from other sources! The standoffs are plastic washers with a "skirt" and is used to electrically and thermally isolate and insulate any part that is screw-attached to another part. Or they can be strung like beads. |
